Africa Development Tracker ("the service") is a community platform for documenting and discussing infrastructure, social, and urban-development projects across Africa. The service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.

2. Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Content you submit

By submitting content (threads, comments, images, suggested corrections, project entries) you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and reproduce that content as part of the service. You retain ownership of your content.

You confirm that you have the right to submit the content, that it does not infringe on copyrights or other rights, and that any cited sources are properly attributed.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit deliberately false or misleading project information.
• Harass, threaten, or defame other users or third parties.
• Upload malware, spam, or sexually explicit material.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or other security controls.
• Scrape the site or its API at a rate exceeding 60 requests per minute without prior permission.

We may remove content and/or suspend accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

5. Source attribution

The credibility of the platform depends on accurate, sourced information. When submitting projects or correction suggestions, please cite primary sources (government documents, official press releases, peer-reviewed journalism) wherever possible.

6. Disclaimer

The data on this site is community-curated. While we and our moderators work to keep it accurate, we make no warranty as to completeness or accuracy. Decisions you make based on this data are your own responsibility.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the service, after attempting to notify you where reasonable.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
